Sleeve Tattoos: a Neat Twist

April 17, 2009 by Ben Swank

When choosing a tattoo design, keep in mind your concealment options. Colors like reds and blacks are easier to remove, but blues and greens are less so. Keep in mind positioning and what items of clothes can cover your tattoo. For shoulder tattoos, this is less of a concern because they can easily be covered by with a shirt, but foot tattoos (for example) will be difficult to cover up.

I've been thinking about working in a panel or two from The Watchmen into my sleeve, but it's tough blending the style with everything else. You'll most often see one overall design, or several interrelated designs with a similar style or theme. This girl went for the gold and it worked.
